KBI Pre-incubator is created with the goal to promote the emergence of new companies in Kurzeme's region by helping the authors of business ideas to clearly define their desires and tasks, as well as by providing consultations with professionals and high-quality infrastructure - premises, office supplies, Internet and secretariat services.

The tasks of pre-incubator:

Provision of consultations for the new entrepreneurs on evaluation and development of business ideas, market research and analysis, and creation of resources for starting a business;
Provide effective work environment where new entrepreneurs could evaluate and develop their business idea successfully in order to join and participate in KBI.

When to apply for pre-incubator?
- I have an idea I believe in;
- I am not sure where to start;
- My knowledge on entrepreneurship and its planning is not sufficient;
- I have to understand what I'm lacking and what I need (e.g., partners, capital, customers);
- I do not have a comfortable and productive work space.

Pre-incubator services (free of charge):

- Office premises with Internet access;

- Work place with office furniture, computers;

- Secretariat services;

- Access to conference room;

- Mentoring services;

- Expert consultations on business idea analysis, partner and customer attraction, etc.

Who is qualified for joining pre-incubator?
- Natural person with a business idea which is planned to be implemented within the activity region of KBI (in Kurzeme);
Legal persons:
- Businessperson whose business activity does not exceed 2 years by the moment of application;
- Businessperson who conforms with a status of small or medium enterprise;
- Businessperson who is not determined insolvent and does not have tax liability;
- Businessperson who implements or will implement their idea within the region of KBI's activity.

Priority fields of activity:

Information technology;
Environmental technology;
Telecommunication;
Electronics;
Mechanical engineering;
Industrial automation;
Computer-aided design;
Space technology.

The maximum time the businessperson may spend in the pre-incubator is 3 months.

NB! Pre-incubator supports business ideas in all fields, except manufacturing of agricultural products, fishing industry and aquaculture, coal industry, naval architecture, financial mediation, trade, commercial services, transport, production of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, gambling;
