About us

The Incubator came into operation at the beginning of year 2009 in the premises of Liepāja University. Right now the head office is located in Liepājā, 40 Vecā ostmala, but its regional branch offices are in the biggest cities of Kurzeme - in Kuldīga and in Saldus.

The Idea of the Business Incubator is to develop successful companies that are able to operate independently and are financially viable.

The main goals are:

to promote cooperation between educational and scientific institutions on the one hand, and production on the other hand;
to promote formation of small companies that produce new, technological and knowledge-based production;
to establish contacts between research labs and industry;
to promote international cooperation among small businesses with the purpose to produce high-quality, competitive products and create new work places for qualified professionals and researchers;
to promote formation of society that would be open for innovation.

KBI promotes emergence and development of new commercializable ideas and companies by offering the new entrepreneurs, on preferential terms, high-quality infrastructure and office services, competent consultations in business development, financing and organizational questions, as well as effective cooperation network for selling generated ideas.
